Getting started, setting the right tone for this kind of work

Before we start working with a company as a whole, we send out a thing (it might be a letter, postcard, poster, invitation) to everyone that might be in the office when the project is happening, explaining what Fieldwork is, why it’s happening and how we work.

It's vitally important that this is an appropriately designed piece of communication, setting the tone for the project. For most, it is the first contact with us and should inspire trust, confidence and curiosity in what we are doing.

The following is a quote about architecture, but I think rings true for most journeys.

Our experience of an architectural space is strongly influenced by how we arrive in it.
