What is Fieldwork?
I started Fieldwork back in 2014. Since then it’s evolved into an umbrella for all my work, from community projects and personal photography, to policy-shifting campaigns, documentary podcasts, ethnographic research and creative commissions.
These days, Fieldwork spans across:
- ongoing story and audio work with organisations like brap and Class Divide, helping explore themes like anti-racism and institutional change
- filmmaking and podcast production for clients such as The King’s Fund, Nesta, and Salesforce.org
I work out of a studio in the Lake District that doubles as a letterpress, screenprinting, and bookbinding space.
Before Fieldwork, I co-founded People Who Do (2008–2014), developed a global music programme for Heineken (2002–2008), and spent the ’90s setting up Brighton radio stations, producing shows, and releasing records.
When I’m not working I volunteer for Class Divide helping on various policy changing campaigns. With anytime I have left I head to the mountains.
Fieldwork is available for projects worldwide - short and long term.
