Fieldwork Laboratory

A few weeks ago I was working with the brilliant Ellen De Vries on some language and story stuff for Fieldwork. We ended up talking about the theatre of work and somehow ended up looking at fieldwork desks on pinterest. It really was at that point I decided we needed what I am now calling our Fieldwork portable laboratory. Fortunately I have some good friends who make lovely things, two of them founded Baines and Fricker a few years ago. I emailed them some ideas and they sent back some rough sketches, and now, the thing is actually being made. These photographs are of the pieces just before it's going to be put together.
