Waiting

I've just started documenting the life of friends Giselle and Dom. I spent the day with them both today as they mainly waited around for treatments to take place.

Giselle has cancer and has recently been told there are no services on the NHS to deal with the brain tumours. The only option the NHS have is whole brain radiotherapy, which Giselle is having right now, but it will only slow the growth of the tumours and give her more time.

Fortunately for her, if I can even say that in such a situation, she is a scientist, and has worked on projects that connect with oncology. She has been made aware of some treatments that might increase her chances of survival, but, they cost a lot of money. I'm hoping my storytelling skills will help with the fundraising.

I'll be sharing interviews and photographs over the coming days and weeks, but in the meantime, please head over to her fundraising page.
