A tiny portion of the Penine Way on a perfect day

I had a brilliant day today. My insomnia continues, so I woke early. I went for a short 5K run down to the docks in Liverpool. I haven’t been able to run much recently, so it was a double joy to be running somewhere new. Emily and I went for breakfast at a lovely little place, and we watched various cos play people walk past, heading to Comicon in town. We checked out of our hotel and drove to Crosby beach to see Another Place by Anthony Gormly. I’ve seen photographs and read about this installation, it was cool to finally walk among these statues in the sea and sand. We drove to Marsden to test out one of Emily and Felicity’s This Way routes. The photo is from that wet and windy walk, just as we joined the Penine Way. By the time we got to Brighouse, my eyes were struggling to stay open, so dinner was eaten, and I fell asleep as the Macaulay’s nattered. It was a perfect day.
