Turning the tables

I spend most of my time on the other end of a microphone, listening and capturing other people’s stories. Today was different, I was the one being interviewed, about something very personal. It was an important reminder as an interviewer, of the power and position I am often in. It was a reminder of the trust involved, and how that trust must never be broken between interviewer and interviewee.

The story I was sharing was one of loss, but ultimately hope. Only time will tell, as people say.
