Matt Weston
I had a couple of beers with Matt tonight. We’ve known each other for over ten years now, meeting at Likemind, then joining together to host Likemind. He is working on some brilliant projects right now. They all seem to be about community, normally around space, and are always executed really well, really thoughtfully. Right now, he’s working on a brilliant project at New England House in Brighton.
“We’re starting a not-for-profit development company to reorganise New England House - a massive, council-owned light industrial building in the middle of Brighton.
We’re going to turn the building into New, New England House: an open, affordable and public factory for the benefit of the whole city.
We’re working with Assemble, Europa and Peter Nencini on new architectures and identities for the project, and we’re setting up a legal structure for the not-for-profit.”
It’s really worth checking out.
