Commitment

There used to be a time, back in the 90's and early 00's when I had to deal with unprofessional people, mainly in the music business. The kind of people that would make promises and not deliver on those promises. I managed to avoid dealing with those kinds of characters for quite a few years, but it seems those days are back.

Over the past year, I seem to have had my fair share of meeting no shows, requests for proposals and their delivery followed by an endless silence and requests for free work. I've written this post quite a few times and then deleted it, worried someone might see it and get offended.

Why am I writing it? What difference will it make? Well, the same difference I hope my Beyond Work project might have, a gentle reminder that workers are human and that respect is cheap.
